Commercial Gas Engineer / Chiller and Boiler Specialist Engineer - Kent or Redditch Based We are currently working on behalf of a highly respected specialist hire company who are looking to expand their engineering team with the addition of an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer / Chiller and Boiler Specialist Engineer. Our client operates nationwide, supporting commercial, industrial, private, and public sector clients with temporary heating, cooling, and hot water solutions. With ambitious growth plans and a commitment to innovation, they are now seeking a driven and knowledgeable individual to support the ongoing development of their operations. The Role: The successful candidate will join a supportive and experienced team, working across a variety of sites installing, maintaining, and servicing commercial temporary boiler systems and air-cooled chillers. You will also be involved in modifying existing pipework in older plant rooms. Key Duties Include: Installation, servicing, and maintenance of commercial temporary boilers and chillers Diagnosing and resolving faults on chilled water systems, AHUs, and forced draft burners Modifying existing plant room pipework Regular travel to client sites - a company vehicle will be provided Supporting less experienced engineers and contributing to ongoing training Ensuring all works are completed in line with safety and compliance standards Key Requirements: Strong background in commercial mechanical systems, including: LTHW systems Chilled water systems Natural gas and oil-fired boiler systems Control wiring and electrical services Experience with air-cooled chillers and AHUs Relevant qualifications, including: Commercial Gas Safe certification F-Gas refrigeration certification Full UK driving licence Based locally to either the Kent or Redditch depot Flexibility to support call-out rota and emergency work as required Willingness to undergo a DBS check (some client sites require clearance) Career Development & Training: Our client is committed to continuous development and offers a wide range of training options including F-Gas, OFTEC, SSSTS, SMSTS and more.
