Job Description
Ashwell Maintenance
is looking for a full-time Commercial Gas Engineer to join our friendly, long-established team. We mainly work in schools and public sector buildings throughout Leicestershire, servicing a wide range of commercial heating systems — and some domestic (but not domestic homes).
This is a permanent position with stable, year-round work. We’re a small, supportive company with many long-standing clients — some for over 32 years.
About the Role:
Servicing and repairing commercial boilers and gas installations, heating systems, and general plumbing
Working independently and as part of a team across a variety of public buildings
Based in and around Leicestershire Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts
Overtime paid at 1.5× after 8 hours

Company vehicle provided
Competitive salary Basic is 50K PAYE on the optional call-out rota (~1 in 6 weeks)
Call outs are paid extra
Annual bonus

No working out of town all work is local
What You’ll Need: Strong experience with commercial appliances, gas installations and heating systems
Good knowledge of general plumbing
Ability to work under your own supervision
Driving license (required)
Own hand tools
Leicestershire based engineers preferred.
