COMMERCIAL MANAGER
Leading General Contractor
Up to €145,000+ Car/ Package & Hybrid working
We're working in partnership with a leading General contractor that is recognised for delivering high-profile, technically complex Data Centre and mission critical projects across the UK and Europe.
The company is experiencing a period of sustained growth, driven by major project wins and increasing demand across core sectors. As a result, they are creating a new senior leadership position within their commercial function - offering a unique opportunity to shape and influence the future of one of the industry's most respected businesses.
The Role
As Commercial Manager, you will lead the commercial delivery of large-scale projects ion the missionj critical sector. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will be a key member of the leadership team, contributing to strategic planning and ensuring commercial excellence across the board.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the commercial team, Overseeing commercial delivery of packages from pre-construction to final account
Lead contract negotiations, procurement, cost planning, and value engineering processes
Provide commercial leadership across multiple live projects
Manage and mentor a team of Quantity Surveyors and commercial staff
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures
Interface with project managers, engineers, and external stakeholders
Prepare detailed reports, forecasts, and performance metrics for the senior leadership team
Contribute to business growth strategy, identifying commercial risks and opportunities
Experience Required:
Minimum 10 years' experience in Commercial roles
Strong Construction experience required. Ideally on major infrastructure or mission critical projects
Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract (NEC/JCT)
Experience managing large commercial teams and complex subcontract packages
Excellent negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
Preferred- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related discipline
