Commercial Manager – Major Infrastructure Project (Inverness Region) Location: Inverness (Hybrid – 3 days on site, 2 days from home) Duration: Long-term (5–6 years, through 2031–2032) Salary: Competitive + Bonus scheme and accommodation options available About the Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Manager to join  major infrastructure projects valued at over £1 billion, based in the Inverness region. This is a long-term role offering the chance to play a key part in one of the UK’s most significant projects. We are looking for someone who not only brings strong commercial acumen but also demonstrates the right behaviours, values, and leadership approach. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the commercial function across multiple sites, ensuring consistency, compliance, and commercial control. Manage and administer NEC contracts (Options A–C), including target cost arrangements. Work proactively to resolve commercial issues and provide solutions that support project delivery. Support and mentor a young and developing workforce, creating a positive and inclusive environment. Collaborate closely with the wider project team to maintain transparency and alignment with business objectives. Provide robust commercial reporting and risk management across all project stages. About You We’re looking for a team-focused, resilient, and inclusive leader who can bring commercial expertise and the right mindset to a complex, high-profile environment. Essential skills and experience: Proven experience in multi-site commercial management. Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts (Options A–C) and target cost management. Demonstrable experience in resolving commercial issues and providing strategic solutions. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, mentor, and engage others. High personal resilience and awareness of locational challenges, including potential protestor activity or logistical complexities. Desirable: Based in or near Inverness (accommodation or a house may be provided for the right candidate).
