Are you a commercially astute professional ready to step into a pivotal role in the paper and board sector? We’re looking for a Commercial Manager to support the Commercial Director and help drive commercial strategy, performance, and team success across a dynamic and growing business.
The Role
As Commercial Manager, you’ll be instrumental in coordinating commercial activity, supporting key customer relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring their team of 12 delivers against ambitious targets. You’ll act as the bridge between day-to-day operations and strategic decision-making, with a focus on margin improvement, pricing, forecasting, and team development.
* Support the Commercial Director in implementing commercial strategy across sales, customer service, and business development functions
* Work closely with the sales team to analyse performance, identify opportunities, and optimise profitability
* Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to shape commercial decisions
* Contribute to tender processes, contract negotiations, and key account management
* Oversee commercial reporting and forecasting, ensuring accuracy and clarity
* Support the Commercial Director with leading, and developing a team of 12
About You
Proven experience in a commercial role, ideally within the paper, board, or packaging sectors
* Strong commercial acumen and analytical mindset
* Confident communicator and relationship builder, both internally and externally
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment
* Skilled in using data to influence decision-making and performance improvements
* A team player who thrives in a collaborative setting
