Job Description
A leading real estate development firm with a strong pipeline of purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) schemes is seeking a Commercial Manager to join their growing team. This is a key hire offering the opportunity to oversee multiple high-profile new build projects across Central London.
The Role
As Commercial Manager, you will take full ownership of the commercial function across 3 - 4 RC frame PBSA developments, all in prime London locations. Working closely with the in-house development and construction teams, you will manage cost planning, procurement strategy, contract administration, and commercial reporting from pre-construction through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all commercial aspects of multiple concurrent PBSA developments
Manage budgets, forecasts, and cost reporting across the portfolio
Oversee procurement processes including contract negotiation and appointment of subcontractors
Mitigate risk through effective contract and commercial management
Monitor contractor performance and manage valuations, payments, and final accounts
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specificationAbout You
Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior QS on RC frame new build developments
Strong background in student accommodation, residential, or mixed-use schemes
Excellent knowledge of construction contracts and procurement practices
Confident managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously
Strong financial acumen and stakeholder management skillsWhat's on Offer
