Job Description

Marble Talent Group are seeking a Commercial Heating Engineer, who will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, servicing and repair of commercial heating systems, including HIUs in district heating environments. Duties include replacing thermostatic valves, pumps, radiators and related components, as well as repairing or replacing pipework as part of planned or reactive maintenance.

Main Duties

1. Safety & Compliance

  * Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with compliance requirements, reporting any issues promptly.

  * Complete all safety and compliance documentation accurately.

  * Adhere to company policies, procedures, RAMS, and report any required changes.

2. Technical & Operational

  * Install, maintain and repair commercial heating systems and associated components.

  * Carry out inspections, servicing and testing to meet industry regulations.

  * Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in heating, LTHW, HWS and CWS systems.

  * Perform planned preventive maintenance (PPM).

  * Ensure all work complies with heating, hot water and health & safety regulations.

  * Provide emergency repair services and respond promptly to breakdowns.

  * Maintain accurate job records and service reports.

  * Liaise with clients, facilities managers and stakeholders professionally.

  * Stay up to date with industry regulations and best practices.

  * Use the PDA system effectively and complete job reports in a timely manner.

  * Build positive relationships with clients and assist with resolving issues.

  * Represent the business professionally when engaging with clients and residents.

  * Proactively seek improvements in work activities.

Core Skills & Attributes

  * Strong problem-solving ability

  * Experience in a similar role within contracting, local authority, housing association or FM

  * Excellent customer service and rapport-building skills

Qualifications & Competencies

  * NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating

  * Valid CSCS card

  * Experience servicing and maintaining commercial heating and hot water systems

Working Hours

42.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday
7:30am – 4:30pm (30-minute daily meal break)
