Job Description:
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Commercial Plumber for a temporary position on a school site in St Helens, starting Monday. The role will involve working with copper press fittings and piping up sinks as part of a plumbing renewal project.
This is a straight-forward plumbing role focused on system upgrades, not full installations.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and replace copper pipework using press-fit systems
Pipe up and connect sinks only - no basins involved
Carry out work in line with project drawings and site instructions
Ensure all plumbing work meets current regulations and health & safety standards
Work efficiently within a live school environment with minimum disruption
Coordinate with site supervisors and other trades on-site
Requirements:
NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing - essential
Demonstrable experience in commercial plumbing environments
Competent in copper press-fit installation
Experience piping up sinks in commercial or institutional settings
Valid CSCS card
Must have own tools and PPE
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Job Details:
Location: School site, St Helens
Hours: Standard site hours (Mon-Fri)
Duration: Ongoing temporary contract
Rate: £24 per hour (CIS/Umbrella)
