Commercial Plumber
Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent
Location: RAF Croughton
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: Up to £32,000 dependent on experience
The Role
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Commercial Plumber to join our team supporting vital defence infrastructure.
As a Plumber at RAF Croughton and RAF Barford St Johns, you’ll play a key role in maintaining essential systems and providing dependable service to the United States Visiting Forces. This is a unique opportunity to apply your skills in an environment where quality and attention to detail truly matter.
You’ll be responsible for maintenance, repairs, and minor works on domestic plumbing systems across married family housing and dormitories, ensuring all work is carried out safely and efficiently. Tasks include both scheduled preventative maintenance and urgent reactive repairs.
You will work closely with on-site supervisors and a wider team of skilled professionals. Daily tasks will be allocated via a tablet or paper-based instructions, and you’ll travel in a company van to complete them. Accurate and timely completion of documentation is essential.
What you’ll need
Recognised plumbing qualifications or at least three years of relevant experience
Solid understanding of Health & Safety practices (including COSHH and RIDDOR)
Full UK driving licence
Eligibility to obtain SC Security Clearance
Ability to work independently, including lone working
Strong communication skills and reliabilityDesirable but not essential:
Experience with mechanical or electrical systems in commercial environments
Previous work within the MOD
