Job Description

Interim Commercial Property Transformation Director

Bristol City Council

£800+ per day - Inside IR35

2-year contract | Bristol

Carrington West is working with Bristol City Council to appoint an experienced Interim Commercial Property Transformation Director to lead the transformation of its Commercial & Investment Estate and property development portfolio.

Reporting to the Director of Property, Assets and Infrastructure, you will provide strategic leadership across the Property Investment and Property Development teams while driving a major programme of commercialisation and transformation.

The Role

Key responsibilities include: 
· Leading a strategic review of the Commercial & Investment Estate, covering performance, risk and future opportunities 
· Strengthening governance, accountability and decision-making across the portfolio 
· Designing a future operating model for commercial and investment property management 
· Leading the Property Investment and Property Development teams 
· Overseeing major programmes including Asset Commercialisation, A & B Bond and Storage Strategy, and Corporate Depot Strategy 
· Driving the Council's development pipeline and ensuring commercial viability and alignment with regeneration priorities 
· Overseeing valuation, investment appraisal, financial modelling, budgets and benefits realisation 
· Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders, developers, investors and external partners

About You

You will be a senior property professional with significant experience in commercial property, investment, asset management or property transformation. 
You will bring: 
· Strong strategic and commercial leadership experience 
· A track record of improving property portfolio performance 
· Experience of operating model, governance and service transformation 
· Strong knowledge of investment appraisal, valuation and development viability 
· Experience leading professional property teams and complex programmes 
· Excellent stakeholder management and financial acumen 
Local government or wider public-sector property experience would be highly advantageous.
