Job Description
A leading manufacturer of specialist plastics are looking for a Commercial Project Manager to support the Head of Product and Application Development to lead the projects team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will play a critical part in delivering complex projects from estimation through to installation. Based in Coventry, you will benefit from a starting salary of up to £60,000 plus bonus and benefits.
As Commercial Project Manager will you be responsible for:
Managing the project lifecycle: planning, resources, risk, and stakeholder communication.
Leading and mentoring the Project Office team, fostering collaboration and performance.
Aligning project delivery with commercial strategy and financial targets.
Coordinating production handovers and ensure manufacturing meets quality and timelines.
Acting as primary contact for clients, resolving issues and managing project changes.
Overseeing supply chain and subcontractor performance to ensure compliance and value.
Driving continuous improvement and contribute to strategic planning. The key skills needed for the Commercial Project Manager are as follows:
Delivery of full-cycle projects from estimation to site installation.
Strong site operations knowledge: logistics, HSE, contractor management.
Management of cross-functional teams across design, engineering, and production.
Familiarity with production engineering principles.
Team leadership and staff development.
Skilled in planning, scheduling, and resource coordination
Commercially aware: budgeting, cost control, profitability
Detail-focused with strong documentation and reporting
Effective risk management across project phases
Full UK driving licenceIn return you will receive an excellent benefits package which includes:
