Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Commercial Vehicle Technician to join our client’s reputable team in Kirkby-in-Ashfield. The Commercial Vehicle Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining and servicing a diverse commercial vehicle fleet, ensuring operational efficiency and safety. This is a full-time, permanent position, offering a highly competitive salary depending on experience, with typical hours of Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 5:00pm.

Servicing, maintaining, and diagnosing faults on a commercial vehicle rental fleet
Conducting routine servicing and preventative maintenance to high standards
Preparing commercial vehicles for sale
Assisting with vehicle conversions and modifications, including WAV vehicle installations
Managing fleet servicing schedules and maintaining accurate records
Identifying additional repairs or work needed and ensuring vehicles are safe and roadworthy
Minimising vehicle downtime and ensuring high vehicle availability and reliability
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faultsRequirements:

Proven experience as a Commercial Vehicle Technician, Commercial Vehicle Technician, Fleet Technician, or similar role
Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
Experience working on commercial vehicles is highly advantageous
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Proactive, practical approach to problem-solving
High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Full UK driving licence
