Commis / Assistant Chef (Temporary)
Location: Bexhill-on-Sea
Pay: £15.00 per hour
Hours: Monday - Friday 8am-3pm. 32.5 per week.
Contract: Temporary – 22nd September 2025 to 10th October 2025
Job description
We are looking for an experienced Commis / Assistant Chef to support a busy catering team on a short-term basis. Working directly with the Head Chef, you will help prepare and serve quality food in line with set standards and recipes.
Working hours
* Monday to Friday
* 08:00 – 15:00 (30-minute unpaid break)
* 32.5 hours per week
Requirements
* Previous experience in a chef or catering assistant role
* Enhanced DBS check with Child Barred List clearance (essential)
* Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to food hygiene and quality standards
* Must wear a long-sleeve chef jacket and non-slip shoes
