Commissioning and Service Engineer – Specialist Security Systems
Are you an experienced engineer with a passion for maintaining and servicing advanced security solutions? We're seeking a professional based in the South Wales, Bristol, or M4/M5 Southwest corridor to join our well-established electrical engineering team. My Clients office is based in South Wales however they operate on a national scale, delivering critical infrastructure solutions across the UK.
You need to have:
* Full UK Driving licence
* Happy to travel; the contracts may be based around the UK which means Monday to Friday you will away; this is a requirement
* You must have commissioning experience on security systems
What You’ll Do:
* Commission, service, maintain, and repair specialist electronic security systems, primarily for clients in sensitive or high-security environments.
* Perform fault finding, technical support, and contribute to high-standard service delivery across various projects.
* Support installation and commissioning teams on new builds, system upgrades, and technical refreshes.
* Identify system enhancements and recommend additional services.
* (Training provided) Gain experience in Cathexis software and video management platforms.
What We’re Looking For:
* Strong IT literacy and experience with configuring and managing data networks, servers, and workstations.
* Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
* Relevant industry qualifications and certifications (e.g. CSCS).
* Professional appearance with a proactive and self-motivated approach.
* Full UK driving licence (a company vehicle will be provided).
* Willingness to travel and stay away as required (accommodation and overnight allowances covered).
* Ability to pass NPPV Level 2 Police vetting (essential for working with our high-security clients).
* Experience in Service, Commissioning and maintenance on CCTV, Intruder alarms, Access controls, Intercoms
What We Offer:
* Competitive salary: £35,000–£37,000 per annum, depending on experience.
* Paid travel time, overtime opportunities, and potential inclusion in a technical on-call rota.
