Commissioning Engineer (Converting Equipment) Taunton £55,000 - £60,000 + Global Travel + Specialist Training + Company Bonus Are you a skilled Electrical Engineer who loves travel, solving real-world problems, and working on cutting-edge machinery-while getting paid to explore the world? This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly respected engineering and manufacturing company based in Taunton. They design and deliver state-of-the-art machinery for the converting and printing industries, with a global customer base spanning Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Their equipment is critical to helping manufacturers streamline material processing with speed, precision, and efficiency. In this dynamic and hands-on role, you'll be the technical lead during the commissioning and support of sophisticated converting equipment both in the UK and abroad. You'll work with complex control systems, including motors, drives, HMI interfaces, and Siemens/Allen Bradley PLCs. Alongside this, you'll deliver training and support to engineers and operators, helping customers get the very best from their systems. This is the ideal role for a time-served Electrical Engineer who's ready to take their career global-enjoying autonomy, technical variety, and exceptional earning potential in a forward-thinking, supportive business. The Role: Commission, install, and service a range of converting machinery at customer sites worldwide Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and hands-on fixes across electrical and control systems Work with motors, drives, PLCs (Siemens and Allen Bradley), and HMIs Deliver training to customers on the safe and efficient use of machinery Perform diagnostics and apply debugging techniques to resolve issues 50% based on site (Taunton) and 50% travel nationally/international Monday to Thursday, 08:00 - 16:30, Friday, 08:00 - 13:00 Overtime rate of 1.5x on Fridays and 1.3x on all other daysThe Person: Fully time-served Electrical Engineer Valid UK passport and full driving licence Eligible to work in the UK (no sponsorship available) Strong experience with Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCsREFERENCE: BBBH19975A Key Words: Converting Equipment, Engineer, Commissioning Engineer, Printing, Electrical Engineer, PLC, Siemens, Allen Bradley, Taunton, Sommerset If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV.
