Job Description
Are you an experienced Commissioning Engineer with a background in electrical distribution networks? We have an exciting opportunity for someone with proven experience in testing and commissioning HV plant and apparatus (11kV, 33kV, 132kV) to join a growing team working on substation build and reinforcement projects.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong track record in high voltage commissioning, excellent knowledge of engineering policies and legislation, and the ability to deliver projects safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
* Produce commissioning plans and deliver HV testing activities
* Test and commission HV plant, integrating with existing protection schemes
* Review and correct technical drawings
* Attend meetings and resolve design issues on site
* Manage site activities safely and in compliance with legislation
* Mentor and support the technical development of colleagues
Requirements
* Proven experience in HV testing and commissioning (11kV, 33kV, 132kV)
* Strong knowledge of engineering policy, procedure and legislation
* Confident decision-making and process improvement skills
* Excellent communication with clients, designers and site teams
* Knowledge of current Health, Safety & Environmental standards
* HNC/Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
* Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travelBefore You Apply
