Commissioning Engineer - Peterborough - Attractive package ALH Recruitment are looking to recruit a Commissioning Engineer with immediate effect for our client who lead their market within Process Engineering, based in Peterborough. ALH are recruiting an exciting new role within our clients Engineering Support Team as a Commissioning/Controls & Instrumentation Engineer to support the demands of the growing business which specialises in liquid and powder handling process solutions and associated equipment to the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, brewery, bakery, dairy and utility industries throughout the UK. This role offers a great opportunity to work within a small team of support engineers; you’ll have the opportunity to contribute your own ideas and make an impact to the team. Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the process commissioning tasks associated with the process equipment that we install, Additionally, you will provide post project support, servicing and support needs for the equipment. Commissioning / Controls Engineer duties: * Execute process engineering commissioning activities, such as setting up equipment, fault finding and troubleshooting various equipment across various software platforms. * Ensure all commissioning and validations, etc. is managed in accordance with the Quality Management System. * Support the production of specifications and performance data sheets for process equipment and instrumentation upon commissioning – where required. * Produce specifications and performance data sheets for process equipment and instrumentation upon commissioning. * Produce testing performance documentation and carry out the associated tests. * Execute/support as built Process Risk Assessments, and essential health and safety risk assessments. * Generate Process Risk Assessments, and essential Health and Safety Risk Assessments – when required. * Prepare commissioning documentation and participate in commissioning tasks. * Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with customer and members of the team. * To participate as an active member of the support team. * Provide customer assistance during post project support and warranty periods. Post project, carry out required maintenance of equipment and support call out/breakdown needs. * Experience in commissioning process equipment. Preferably in the food & beverage industry – but in any similar/related industry. * Pro-active attitude towards engineering activities with a strong focus on technical safety and environmental aspects. * Proven level of competence within process, installation and commissioning engineering. * Display analytical, engineering and innovation skills to drive the effective solution in a timely manner. * Have a professional attitude towards customers and ability to respond to customer needs whilst achieving project and corporate objectives. * Good mechanical and electrical skills: hands-on profile and able to work independently. * Commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction through resourcefulness on site. * Willingness to work away from home base for extended periods of time, both in the UK and overseas A positive can-do attitude.
