You’ll be responsible for testing and commissioning high-performance equipment both at the Newton Abbot facility and on-site with international customers. This includes electrical and mechanical testing, cold and hot commissioning, and ensuring systems meet rigorous performance standards. When not travelling, you’ll be based at the Newton Abbot site, supporting testing, controls, and other engineering departments. ✈ What Makes This Role Unique? * Extensive Global Travel – Work on-site with clients in diverse international locations. * High-Level Responsibility – Lead commissioning activities, supervise engineers, and represent the company professionally to global clients. * Technical Variety – Engage with both electrical and mechanical systems, PLCs, SCADA, generator protection, and more. * Career Development – Train and mentor others, contribute to continuous improvement, and expand your technical expertise. 🧠 What We’re Looking For * HNC/HND or Degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience) * Proven experience in commissioning gas turbine packages * Strong fault-finding skills across electrical and mechanical systems * PLC and SCADA experience (Allen Bradley RS Logix and Wonderware preferred) * Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills * Willingness and ability to travel extensively worldwide * Professional, self-motivated, and adaptable to changing environments ✅ Why Apply Through TQR Plymouth?
