Overview
We're seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to oversee commissioning activities across major power, renewable, and substation projects in Ireland. The successful candidate will lead testing, energisation, and handover processes, ensuring all systems meet technical, safety, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead commissioning of primary, secondary, and ancillary electrical systems up to 400kV.
Supervise testing of transformers, switchgear, and protection systems.
Coordinate site activities, energisation, and safety procedures.
Prepare commissioning plans and maintain accurate test documentation.
Mentor and support junior engineers and commissioning staff.
Requirements
HNC/Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
5+ years' commissioning experience in substations or power systems.
Strong knowledge of protection systems, SCADA, and IEC61850.
Skilled in test equipment (e.g. Omicron).
Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
