Commissioning Manager (Mechanical Bias)
Oxford, Oxfordshire – Easily commutable from Bicester, Aylesbury, Didcot, Thame, Gloucester, and Swindon
We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Commissioning Manager on behalf of a leading M&E contractor for a permanent opportunity in Oxford. This role offers the chance to work with a highly respected business that prides itself on the design, development, and successful delivery of high-quality building services across the UK.
Duties Include:
* Full management and coordination of M&E commissioning activities across site.
* Oversight and leadership of specialist subcontractors to ensure works are carried out to programme and spec.
* Witnessing and signing off on on-site testing procedures and producing clear reports and feedback on performance.
* Management of all water treatment processes, including flushing, dosing, and testing in line with project requirements.
* Coordination of all commissioning and system testing phases, ensuring client standards and legislative compliance are met.
* Detailed review and commentary on the quality of mechanical and electrical installations, ensuring any deficiencies are logged and resolved.
Requirements:
* Industry-recognised qualification in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent).
* SMSTS or equivalent site safety qualification.
* Proven track record working in an M&E Commissioning Manager role on live construction sites.
* Strong background in commissioning mechanical systems across both commercial and domestic environments.
* Excellent understanding of commissioning documentation, technical submissions, and compliance requirements.
