About the Role We are seeking a MEICA Commissioning Manager to take full ownership of the commissioning phase of a new build sewage treatment pumping station in Oxford. This is a sole commissioning role, offering autonomy and responsibility for ensuring successful project delivery.
The role will begin with pre-commissioning involvement (1 day per week) leading up to the start of commissioning, before moving into a full-time, site-based position during the 8-week commissioning period.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional from either the clean or waste water sector, looking to apply their technical expertise on a high-value infrastructure project.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the commissioning of all MEICA systems for the new pumping station.
Plan, coordinate, and deliver commissioning activities to meet programme requirements.
Act as the single point of accountability for commissioning – no direct reports, full responsibility.
Review and validate design documentation, testing protocols, and commissioning plans.
Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Liaise with project stakeholders, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure smooth delivery.
Prepare commissioning records, handover documentation, and O&M support as required.Candidate Requirements
Proven experience as a Commissioning Manager / Engineer in MEICA projects.
Background in clean water and/or waste water treatment systems.
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation systems.
Ability to work independently and take full responsibility for commissioning outcomes.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Local to Oxford or within a commutable distance (essential for site-based work).
Flexibility to commit to part-time (1 day per week) during the pre-commissioning phase and full-time during active commissioning.What’s on Offer
