Commissioning Planner
Glasgow – Hybrid
12 months – outside IR35
The Commissioning Planner will have massive attention to detail and understands the need for steady methodical work.
The Commissioning Planner will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the commissioning schedule and work. This role ensures that all commissioning activities are effectively coordinated with construction, procurement, operations, and safety teams, facilitating a safe and timely handover to operations.
The Commissioning Planner Responsibilities:
The Commissioning Planner willd evelop and maintain the overall commissioning master schedule, integrating mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities.
Coordinate closely with project construction, operations, and engineering teams to align schedules and milestones.
Prepare detailed commissioning work plans for individual systems and packages, including resource and equipment requirements.
Track progress of commissioning activities, identify delays or risks, and propose mitigation actions.
Facilitate regular commissioning meetings, providing schedule updates and progress reports.
Monitor and ensure compliance with HSE regulations, project standards, and quality requirements during commissioning.
Maintain documentation of commissioning activities, including punch lists, checklists, and turnover packages.
Support handover of systems to operations, ensuring all required tests, certifications, and documentation are complete.
Collaborate with project controls to provide accurate forecasting and reporting for commissioning-related costs and timelines.
The Commissioning Planner Qualifications:
The Commissioning Planner will have proven experience as a Commissioning Planner or Commissioning Engineer in chemical, petrochemical, Pharma or process plant projects.
Strong knowledge of commissioning procedures, plant start-up processes, and HSE standards .
Proficiency in project planning and scheduling tools, such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent.
Understanding of mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and testing activities for process equipment and systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication and coordination skills, capable of working with multidisciplinary teams.
