Job Description
Our client, a prestigious organisation in the procurement supply chain sector, is currently seeking a Commodity Manager to join their dynamic team based in Gloucester. Key Responsibilities:
Drafting, acquiring validation, and deploying targeted purchasing policies for one or more commodities.
Guaranteeing the attainment of objectives in terms of gains and service levels expected by the organisation.
Coordinating actions with concerned buyers from other companies when managing group mandates.
Leading communication regarding the purchasing policies under your responsibility.
Acting as an approver, expert, and key contact for your commodity.
Fostering and maintaining a UK-wide network within your commodity.
Job Requirements:
Demonstrable knowledge of purchasing methodologies and processes.
Proven experience in indirect and direct purchasing.
Understanding of industrial and purchasing policies, including legal knowledge of contracts.
Experience within a purchasing team using purchasing information systems.
CIPS qualifications at Level 4+ or equivalent professional experience
