Hours: 35 hours per week
Pay Rate: £16.71 per hour (PAYE)
Pertemps is proud to partner with London Borough of Harrow to offer an excellent opportunity for a proactive and dedicated Community Alarm Officer to join a growing team. This role provides a competitive hourly rate of £16.71, alongside access to high-quality training, career development support, and 21 days of annual leave (excluding Bank Holidays).
Essential Requirements:
" A full, clean UK driving licence
" Business-use car insurance
" Willingness to work flexible hours on a rolling rota, including weekends
Main responsibilities:
" Let the Helpline Operator know quickly if you spot any emergency repairs needed in non-council buildings during visits.
" Report any alarm calls from residents in council housing to the Helpline with full details and inform the Maintenance team of any issues found during calls.
" Keep clear and accurate records of all actions taken and complete any required paperwork-especially when covering for resident wardens.
" When attending a call, you'll need to access the property, offer help or call for assistance (including physical help if needed), and contact family, friends, colleagues, or emergency services as appropriate.
" Always update the Helpline when you arrive at a call and again once the situation is resolved, so they know you're ready for the next one.
" You'll be mainly based at the Helpline office but may work from other locations across Harrow.
" A valid driving licence is essential, and you must be able to respond quickly to emergency calls when on duty.
