Job Description
I’m excited to share an excellent opportunity to join one of our clients in the role of Community Keyworker / Through the Gate / Arrest Referral Worker.
Are you a strong relationship builder, passionate about working with women from diverse backgrounds? Can you engage individuals at any stage in their journey, and collaborate with them to build tailored support packages that offer the best chance of breaking the cycle of offending?
In this role, you will be supporting women involved in the Criminal Justice System — including those on probation in the community and those being released from prison as part of their post-sentence supervision. This will include both in-reach and 'Through the Gate' support. You will join a regional team of Community Keyworkers, providing holistic, one-to-one support to women with a wide range of needs.
Role Summary:
Contract: Full-time, 37.5 hours/week (including some evenings and weekends)
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver person-centered support to women and children experiencing domestic abuse, helping them achieve safety and independence.
* Provide practical and emotional support including risk assessments, safety planning, and advocacy.
* Work in partnership with statutory and voluntary services to ensure coordinated care.
* Keep accurate records and contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of the service.
* Participate in an on-call rota to provide continuous client support.
Requirements:
* Experience working with vulnerable individuals, ideally in domestic abuse or a related field.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust and rapport.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts.
* Solid understanding of safeguarding and relevant legislation.
* A valid driving license and access to a vehicle are desirable.
* Candidates must currently hold in-date Police and Prison ClearanceBefore You Apply
