Cardiff Council is looking for an experienced Solicitor or Barrister to join our Community Team. You’ll provide legal advice and representation in adult protection, community care, and related public law matters, helping the Council deliver safe, effective services.
📍 Location: Remote
📅 Contract: Temporary (Initially 3 months, with strong potential to extend)
⏰ Hours: 37 hours per week
💷 Pay Rate: £30 per hour (via Umbrella)
What you’ll do:

Advise on adult health, social care, and community law issues.
*
Prepare Court applications, statutory orders, and legal papers.
*
Represent the Council at hearings, tribunals, and Court.
*
Provide clear, practical advice to officers, Members, and associated organisations.
Requirements:
*
Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with rights of audience.
*
Experience in adult health, social care, or community law.
*
Strong knowledge of public law and local government processes.
*
Excellent drafting, communication, and IT skills.
*
Ability to manage a caseload, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
