Job Description

Job Title: Nurture Teacher – Primary Education Specialist Location: Salford & Surrounding Areas Salary: £26 per hour Start Date: Immediate About Us At SEND Inclusion Support, we’re passionate about creating nurturing, inclusive, and personalised learning environments where every child can thrive. We specialise in supporting young learners facing barriers to learning—whether SEND, SEMH, or Emotional-Based School Avoidance (EBSA). Our mission is to help children develop both academically and emotionally, building confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning. We’re seeking a compassionate, adaptable Nurture Teacher to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of primary-aged students. The Role This is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic educators who love teaching primary-aged children and helping them overcome learning challenges. You’ll deliver tailored lessons in supportive settings—including classrooms, libraries, or students’ homes—creating engaging, fun, and meaningful learning experiences. With flexible hours during the school day, you can design your timetable while making a lasting impact on children’s development. Key Responsibilities * Plan, deliver, and assess lessons that close learning gaps and build foundational skills across core primary subjects (English, Maths, Science, and more). * Adapt lessons to children’s interests and abilities to boost engagement, motivation, and confidence. * Provide personalised academic and emotional support for students with SEND, SEMH, and EBSA. * Teach in a variety of environments, including libraries, classrooms, or students’ homes, choosing the best space for learning. * Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can grow socially, emotionally, and academically. * Work collaboratively with parents, carers, schools, and external agencies to support each child’s overall development. * Track progress and adapt strategies to ensure sustained learning and personal growth. * Promote positive behaviour, resilience, and a growth mindset. What We’re Looking For * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching at primary level. * Experience supporting children with SEND, SEMH, or EBSA is highly desirable. * Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. * Flexible, proactive approach with a talent for personalising learning. * Passion for helping children overcome barriers and achieve success. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a supportive team. * Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and the well-being of children. Why Join Us? * Flexibility to set your own hours within the school day. * Opportunities to teach in varied settings such as classrooms, libraries, or students’ homes. * Supportive team with an open-door policy at our Wigan office. * 24/7 on-call support for staff whenever needed. * Access to a wide range of teaching resources for primary education. * Regular CPD and professional development opportunities. * The chance to make a real difference in the lives of young learners, helping them thrive academically and emotionally. If you’re passionate about nurturing young minds, supporting children with additional needs, and helping them flourish in their primary years, we’d love to hear from you. SEND Inclusion Support is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All staff are expected to share this commitment, and appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS check
