We are looking for an upbeat and empathetic Male Support Worker to work with Max, an incredible man in his twenties living very close to Throop Mill - one of his favourite walking spots!
Due to the tailored needs that Max has, we can only consider male candidates with experience in autism or complex care on a 2:1 basis.

The role
Max communicates verbally using short phrases. He also uses PECS cards on his daily board to help understand his plan for the day - this could be when family are visiting or if there are any changes to be aware of.
He thrives with a well-structured daily routine that balances fun, comfort, and personal growth.
Max enjoys different activities, such as:
* Bouncing on his trampoline
* Going for a walks in the local area
* Listening to music
* Spending regular time with his parents

A day in the life of a Support Worker would include:
* Sharing your skills and life knowledge with the people we support to enable good life skills and independence when living in the community
* Maintaining consistent and accurate records regarding care plans, finances, appointments and medication
* Following the support plan in plan for each person we support to enable the person to feel comfortable and happy, adapting this as required based on change in behaviour
* Providing some elements of personal care from personal hygiene prompts, helping to bath and wash, medication
Hours:
21 per week
Shifts will vary between 7am – 10pm Monday to Sunday on a two week rolling rota.
This role would include working alternate weekends and sleep ins (sleep ins come with an additional payment)
