Complex Needs Teacher – Primary – East Birmingham
Are you an experienced Complex Needs Teacher looking for the opportunity to make a real difference? This excellent special school in East Birmingham is seeking a Complex Needs Teacher to join their dedicated team, teaching a class of primary aged pupils with a range of complex learning needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment where children are happy, behaviour is good, and facilities are outstanding.
As a Complex Needs Teacher in this setting, you will plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils. Classes are small, and you will be supported by a team of skilled Teaching Assistants and an established leadership team who are committed to ensuring the very best outcomes for every child. The role will require patience, creativity, and a nurturing approach to help children develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
Responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering lessons to primary aged pupils with complex needs.
Differentiating learning to ensure all pupils can access the curriculum.
Working closely with Teaching Assistants to provide consistent support.
Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive relationships.
Liaising with parents, carers, and external professionals to support pupil progress.The ideal candidate will have:
QTS and experience teaching in a SEND or complex needs setting.
A strong understanding of strategies for supporting pupils with Autism, communication difficulties, or physical needs.
A creative, flexible, and patient approach to teaching.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
