Complex Needs Teaching Assistant - Year 1 (ASD, Down Syndrome & ADHD Support)
Brent | Immediate Start | £105-£120 per day | Long-Term Role
We are seeking a compassionate, patient and proactive Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to support three children in Year 1, each with an EHCP and individual learning needs. You will work closely with teaching and SEN staff and follow bespoke timetables. You will support pupils with Autism, Down Syndrome and ADHD. Two children require nappy changing, and all follow structured routines and personalised learning plans. This role requires empathy, resilience and a nurturing approach to help each child make progress academically, socially and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small-group support
Work towards EHCP targets and implement bespoke learning plans
Support personal care needs including nappy changing
Implement structured and sensory-based routines
Support behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
Work collaboratively with SENCO, therapists and class staff
