Compliance Controller
Salary: £32,000 – £36,000 per year
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 16:30 (45 hours per week)
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Erith (on-site)
We are currently seeking a Compliance Controller to join our busy VMU based in Erith. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in HGV fleet compliance and workshop operations who is ready to take ownership of planning, process, and safety within a fast-paced workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily planning, scheduling, and parts ordering to ensure smooth workshop operations
Allocate and review Repair Orders, monitor ongoing repairs, and coordinate any additional required work
Take a proactive approach to minimise vehicle downtime, particularly in Vehicle Off Road (VOR) cases
Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
Review and authorise completed work and compliance documentation, ensuring clear handovers to customers
What We’re Looking For:
Solid experience in an operational service environment with a strong customer service focus
Background in HGV compliance and workshop management
Expertise in planning and scheduling within a workshop setting
Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing and managing teams
Confident communicator with customers and suppliers
Technical understanding gained through formal qualifications or hands-on experience
Proficiency with workshop and Dealer Management Systems (e.g. DMS, XENTRY, Truckfile)
Comfortable with IT systems and understands the role of compliance in business success
