Job Description
Aptitude Recruitment work with employers of choice across the training and skills sector. We are currently supporting a leading, grade 1 training provider in Derby. They are growing and therefore adding a Compliance Manager to their Senior Leadership Team.
They are seeking a dedicated and experienced Compliance Lead to ensure they maintains the highest standards of compliance, governance, and safeguarding in line with regulatory requirements
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure compliance with Ofsted, ESFA, ISO: 9001:2015, and other regulatory bodies, maintaining accurate documentation and reporting.
• Monitor and review governance frameworks, auditing internal policies and procedures to ensure they meet current legislation and industry standards.
• Oversee internal audits to ensure quality and compliance in apprenticeship delivery, identifying and addressing areas for improvement.
• Carry out Observations of Teaching, Learning, and Assessment (OTLA) and Learning Walks (LW), ensuring feedback is recorded and reviewed.
• Record IQA (Internal Quality Assurance) information in Bud for Skills Coach Tutors to monitor and review throughout the year.
• Prepare and submit required reports and data to external bodies, including funding claims and inspection-related documentation.
• Collaborate with staff and senior management to promote a culture of safeguarding and compliance throughout the organisation.
Skills and Experience Required:
• Proven experience in safeguarding roles, ideally within the education or apprenticeship sector.
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted, ESFA funding rules, safeguarding legislation, and ISO: 9001:2015.
• Experience with data management systems such as ILR, DAS, or Bud.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to audit and review processes for compliance and safeguarding.
• Experience in conducting Observations of Teaching, Learning, and Assessment and Learning Walks.
• Strong communication skills to engage with staff, external bodies, and other stakeholders.
• Relevant qualifications in compliance, governance, or safeguarding (e.g., Safeguarding Level 3 or DSL certification)
