The Role:
As Computer Network Officer you will work within the Computer Services Operations and Networking team, in conjunction with the Team Leader, you will be responsible for maintaining the network infrastructure for the College. This operates from the main Cisco switches, which run the Microsoft Active Directory service.
What we are looking for:
You should have a nationally recognised qualification in IT or equivalent experience and experience of supporting a large communications network. You must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Server Operating System and experience of supporting end users and dealing with external Service Providers. You will also need to have experience of maintaining and configuring IT hardware and software and of DHCP, DNS. You also should have a level 2 qualification in English and Math’s (or be willing to work towards and achieve within twelve months).
