Role Overview:
As a Computer Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging and well-structured lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, helping them develop digital literacy and core programming skills. You will foster curiosity, resilience, and logical thinking while preparing pupils for exams and future study in the ever-evolving tech landscape.
Responsibilities as a Computer Science Teacher:
Plan and deliver dynamic Computer Science lessons that meet curriculum standards.
Support pupils in understanding key concepts in coding, systems architecture, data handling, and cybersecurity.
Prepare students for GCSE exams through differentiated teaching and assessment.
Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and digital confidence.
Work collaboratively with other departments and contribute to school-wide digital learning initiatives.
Requirements for Computer Science Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Experience teaching Computer Science at key stages.
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
A clear passion for technology and digital education.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
CV covering the last 10 years with any gaps clearly explained.
