Half Term Cover | Secondary School | South Manchester
Cover People are working on behalf of a secondary school in South Manchester seeking a qualified Computing Teacher (QTS) to cover KS3 Computing lessons for the second half of the Autumn Term (Monday 4th November – Friday 20th December).
This is a short-term, full-time teaching role ideal for a confident and enthusiastic computing specialist with recent classroom experience. You’ll be working with well-behaved KS3 classes, supported by a collaborative department.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and well-structured Computing lessons to KS3 pupils
Adapt teaching to meet the needs of a range of learners
Encourage digital literacy, safe online behaviour, and basic coding skills
Manage the classroom effectively and maintain high expectations
Mark and assess work in line with school policies
Essential Criteria
UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Specialism in Computing or ICT
Recent experience teaching KS3 in a UK secondary school
Confident classroom presence and strong subject knowledge
Right to work in the UK
