Duration: 3-Month Rolling Contract
Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Rate: £14.25 per hour (PAYE)

Role Overview
We are seeking a Configuration Engineer (Technical Operative 1) to join our growing Configuration Department. The successful candidate will provide effective and efficient IT configuration services and support to our clients. You’ll be responsible for delivering basic to intermediate-level configuration work, managing your own workload, and maintaining high standards of accuracy and communication.
Key Responsibilities
Perform software installations and configurations within existing IT infrastructures or pre-defined projects.
Work on bespoke in-house systems (full training provided).
Build and configure various systems following detailed scripts (training provided).
Note: Scripts must be followed precisely; deviations may result in escalation.
Provide clear and effective communication and reporting to supervisors and team leaders.
Conduct manual data input (approximately 25–50% of the role) using spreadsheets — attention to detail is essential.
Consolidate consignments for distribution, ensuring awareness of how your work contributes to the wider team’s output.
Communicate proactively regarding progress or delays to ensure smooth workflow and meet targets.
Perform boxing and unboxing of IT equipment as part of the configuration process.
Support pallet movement and work planning activities.
Work efficiently to meet SLA targets and productivity goals.
About You
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Background in IT or technical support.
Essential: Data input experience and high attention to detail.
Flexible and able to adapt to changing demands at short notice.
Proactive and reliable team player.
Excellent time management and ability to meet targets and SLAs.
Knowledge of IT components and hardware.
Accuracy and consistency in all tasks.
