Job Description
Configuration Management plays a critical role in delivering engineered products that meet the highest standards for customers and frontline users. Through controlled and compliant processes, this function provides programmes with confidence and assurance throughout the full product lifecycle.
Working pattern: Hybrid, 2 days on-site per week
Security Clearance: British Citizen or Dual UK national with British citizenship. All successful candidates must pass HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS).

The opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Configuration Manager to lead and apply Configuration Management processes across a complex and prestigious product portfolio. The role requires strong networking and collaboration skills to deliver robust governance and support programme success.
You will provide strategic direction and lead the technical application of Configuration Management principles throughout product lifecycles, supporting new and complex business products critical to future success.
What we need from you:

Extensive experience in Configuration Management with strong knowledge of principles, processes, and standards at national and international levels
*
Technical understanding of complex weapon or defence systems is desirable
*
Strong appreciation of engineering business networks and stakeholder relationships across the product lifecycle
*
Excellent communication skills with confidence to lead through technical challenges
*
Outstanding networking and relationship-building skills to influence and negotiate successfully at all levels
*
Ability to plan, lead, and deliver Configuration Management activities effectively
*
Familiarity with Def Stan 05-57, ISO10007 or EN9100 is a bonus but not essential
