Our client is a highly respected and growing construction company based in Stanford-le-Hope, Essex, delivering a wide range of commercial construction projects across Essex and the home counties. With an excellent reputation for quality, professionalism, and client satisfaction, they are looking to appoint an experienced Construction Estimator to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded estimator who enjoys taking ownership of projects from tender stage through to contract award.

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate and competitive estimates across a variety of commercial construction projects. You will play a key role in the pre-construction process, ensuring all costs are carefully assessed and quotations are delivered to the highest standard.

You will be responsible for estimating and pricing all aspects of construction works, including:

• Full commercial build projects
• Plumbing and mechanical works
• Carpentry and joinery
• Groundworks and civils
• Roofing and external works
• Internal fit-out and finishing packages
• Labour, materials and subcontractor costs
• Variations and value engineering opportunities

While the role is primarily office-based, there will be occasions where site visits are required to assess project requirements, carry out measurements, meet clients, and ensure the accuracy of quotations.

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
• Review drawings, specifications and project documentation
• Obtain and analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations
• Conduct site surveys when required
• Identify project risks and opportunities
• Liaise with project managers, clients and suppliers
• Produce accurate pricing schedules and cost plans
• Support the business in securing profitable new contracts

Requirements
• Previous experience as a Construction Estimator
• Strong understanding of commercial construction projects
• Knowledge of plumbing, carpentry and general building trades
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail
• Full UK Driving Licence
