Our client, a leading apprenticeship provider in the construction sector, is currently seeking a dedicated Construction Learning Coach to join their team in Wythenshawe. This permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to guide 16 to 21-year-old learners through the new foundation apprenticeship in on-site trades, providing them with essential skills in brickwork, carpentry, and plastering.
Key Responsibilities:
Coach and inspire apprentices to develop the technical knowledge and skills needed for success in construction roles
Manage and teach a caseload of Level 2 learners on Foundation Apprenticeship programmes
Deliver engaging lessons on basic brickwork, plastering, and carpentry skills to classes of approximately 10 students
Mark assignments and apprenticeship tasks to ensure quality and progress
Observe practice and provide constructive feedback to drive growth
Visit employers and support apprentices in their workplace to help them settle into their first job role
Ensure that the training meets the foundation apprenticeship knowledge, skills, and behaviours
Job Requirements:
Experience in construction or related trades
Up-to-date industry knowledge, including health and safety regulations, construction techniques, and industry standards
Previous teaching experience in multi-skills/construction
Hold or be willing to work towards a relevant teaching qualification
A genuine passion for developing others and sharing knowledge
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to manage a varied workload and deliver high-quality teaching/coaching
Desirable: Coaching or Assessor qualifications (e.g., TAQA, CAVA, A1, D32/33) and knowledge of government-funded training and apprenticeship standards
