Job Description
Construction & Logistics Engineer - Contract Role
Location: Birmingham, UK
Duration: 6 - 9 months (with possible extension)
Rate: £29-£34 per hour
Start Date: ASAP
We're seeking an experienced Construction & Logistic Engineer to join a dynamic project team delivering high-impact infrastructure. You'll play a key role in ensuring construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare documentation and specifications for sourcing plant installation suppliers
- Coordinate with safety officers to ensure compliance documentation is in place
- Plan and manage site logistics: offices, storage, supplier services, training, accommodation
- Supervise installation progress and ensure alignment with customer specifications
- Monitor project costs and timelines
- Conduct safety inspections and enforce site safety standards
- Prepare and review site reports, drawings, and documentation
- Maintain quality control procedures and manage risk proactively
Skills & Experience
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organisational and decision-making abilities
- Solid understanding of construction methods and regulations
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Minimum 5 years' experience in site plant installation
- Technical diploma or equivalent
