Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Manager with a strong background in steel structures and civil engineering to join our team on a major infrastructure project based in Birmingham.
In this role, you will play a key part in delivering complex construction works, ensuring safety, quality, and programme are maintained to the highest standard. Your understanding of steel structures will be essential, as many aspects of the project demand a clear grasp of their specific requirements, from planning through to execution. A solid civils background will also be crucial to coordinate effectively with multiple workstreams and ensure smooth integration of all site activities.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily site operations, ensuring all works are delivered safely and to specification.

Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure programme targets are met.
*
Provide technical input and leadership particularly in relation to steel structure installation and civils interfaces.
*
Monitor and report on progress, risks, and resource needs.
*
Maintain quality assurance and compliance with project standards.
Requirements:
*
Proven experience as a Construction Manager on major infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
*
Strong technical knowledge of steel structures – essential.
*
Background in civils with an ability to manage complex, multi-discipline works.
*
Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
*
SMSTS and CSCS (Black or White Card) required; other relevant certifications are a plusBefore You Apply
