This role is ideal for a dedicated professional who values teamwork, high standards, and growth. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Construction Manager will oversee multiple site operations, working closely with Foremen to ensure safe, timely, and quality-driven project execution. Key Responsibilities As a Construction Manager, you will be responsible for motivating and supporting Foremen in the daily running of groundworks sites. You will drive project performance, ensuring that teams understand contractual requirements and client expectations. You will manage project programmes, emails, meetings, and documentation, maintaining thorough records of labour needs, site reports, toolbox talks, and health and safety documents. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone with proven experience in construction management, ideally within the groundworks or civil engineering sector. You should have a strong understanding of health and safety regulations and a track record of successfully implementing them on-site. Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing demands across multiple projects. Qualifications Applicants must hold a valid CSCS card, an in-date First Aid Certificate, and an SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) qualification. Preferred Attributes We value a respectful and collaborative leadership style. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to delivering projects to a high standard, within agreed timelines, and will demonstrate a genuine commitment to continuous improvement and professional development—for themselves and their teams.
