We’re looking for a Construction Supervisor. Based at our Almelo site you'll supervise and manage the day-to-day activities of contractors and sub-contractors, ensuring compliance with Urenco’s safety procedures, quality standards, and project requirements. You will play a key role in ensuring high-quality, safe, and compliant construction delivery.

What you’ll do:
Health, Safety & Regulatory Compliance
Promote a proactive safety culture across all construction activities, acting as a visible role model for safe working practices.
Ensure full compliance with Local regulations and Urenco’s Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), including oversight of contractor safety procedures.
Uphold radiological safety standards, ensuring all works comply with relevant regulations and Radiological Risk Assessments.
Site Supervision & Contractor Management
Oversee daily construction activities, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and to the required design and quality standards.
Direct and support contractors and sub-contractors, maintaining strong on-site presence and clear communication.
Review and manage risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and ensure performance aligns with project expectations.
Project Integration & Technical Oversight
Work closely with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration between design and construction phases.
Identify and resolve technical queries or constructability issues promptly to maintain project momentum.
Progress Monitoring & Reporting
Maintain accurate and timely reporting on construction progress, risks, and issues.
Support the project manager with updates on site performance, manpower needs, and milestone achievements.
Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Sharing
Contribute to a culture of learning and improvement by capturing lessons learned and sharing best practices.
Support efforts to enhance quality, reduce defects, and improve project delivery outcomes across future projects.
What do you need to thrive in this role?
To succeed as a Construction Supervisor at Urenco, you'll need a solid foundation in construction management, a commitment to safety, and strong leadership skills.
Essential Qualifications:
NVQ Level 3/ HNC in a relevant discipline or relevant engineering qualification
Health & Safety certifications (e.g. IOSH / NEBOSH, SMSTS)
SSOW training and relevant permits (e.g. asbestos, confined space, working at height)
Experience & Skills:
Significant hands-on construction experience in your discipline
Proven ability to supervise and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams
Familiarity with regulatory standards and risk management
