Job Description

Construction Teacher Required - Wembley (HA9) - September 2025 Prospero Teaching is currently seeking a qualified Construction Teacher with QTS to work in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) based in the Wembley (HA9) area. This role involves delivering engaging and accessible lessons to Key Stage 4 students working towards their City & Guilds Level 1 in Construction. Many of the students have Special Educational Needs, including SEMH, ADHD, and Learning Difficulties. Role Details: Position: Construction Teacher Location: Wembley (HA9) Qualification: QTS required Course Level: City & Guilds Level 1 - Construction Age Group: KS4 Hours: 2 days per week (flexible scheduling) SEN: SEMH, ADHD, Learning Difficulties Salary: Competitive, based on experience What We're Looking For: A qualified teacher or experienced construction professional with teaching/training experience (QTS/QTLS desirable, but not essential) Strong knowledge of construction trades (e.g., carpentry, bricklaying, plastering, basic plumbing) Ability to manage challenging behaviour with empathy and authority Passion for working with young people with social, emotional, or behavioural needs Enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service *Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted Prospero Teaching is acting as an employment business/education recruitment agency in relation to this vacancy.
