A leading private healthcare provider is currently recruiting for an experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist / Endoscopist to join a newly launched Community Diagnostic Centre in Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dynamic, forward-thinking clinical team committed to improving access to high-quality diagnostics within the local community.
The appointed consultant will work alongside a multidisciplinary team, delivering outpatient clinics and endoscopy procedures in state-of-the-art, purpose-built facilities. With access to the latest diagnostic equipment and thoughtfully planned patient lists, the role offers the time and environment needed to deliver truly patient-focused care—without the pressures of overbooking.
This innovative service aims to streamline the diagnostic pathway, offering timely, efficient, and comfortable access to gastroenterology diagnostics and treatment for patients across Birmingham.
Key Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
*
UK-recognised Medical Degree
*
GMC registration with a valid licence to practise
*
Inclusion on the Specialist Register for Gastroenterology or General Surgery
*
JAG Accreditation
Experience & Competencies:
*
Skilled in Diagnostic Colonoscopy, Gastroscopy, and Flexible Sigmoidoscopy
*
Able to manage elective outpatient cases independently
*
Experience in clinical audit and the implementation of service improvements
*
Training equivalent to UK CCST standards
