Job Description
HGV Class 1 (LGV1, Cat C+E) Container Driver - (Days/Nights/Weekends) - Southampton
* Temporary contract
* Southampton
* Pay Rate from £17.00ph-£28.00ph / £23-£30 for a night out
* Weekly pay
* Flexible payment options: LTD / PAYE / Umbrella
* 12 Weeks/ Ongoing/ Ad- hoc

* Must have held your HGV1 licence for more than 1 year
* Must have Container experience (DP World Card essential)
* Day shifts start between 4.00am-6.00am
* Night shifts Start between 4.00pm-9.00pm

The Job- HGV Class 1 (LGV1, Cat C+E) Container Driver
* Operate HGV Class 1 articulated lorries with automatic gearboxes, primarily for container transport
* Complete deliveries and collections efficiently
* Utilise smartphone or tablet devices to log collections, drops, and status updates in real-time.
* Comply with all site-specific procedures, especially within port environments
* Observe all Working Time Directive (WTD) regulations, ensuring accurate logging of driving hours, breaks, and rest periods
* Follow health & safety protocols and adhere to both agency and client operational policies
* Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects in line with legal and company requirements
* Maintain a professional attitude and provide excellent service to clients and customers
Skills and Experience Required- HGV Class 1 (LGV1, Cat C+E) Container Driver
* A valid HGV Class 1 (C&E) licence
* A valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC)
* A valid Digital Tachograph card
* Must be able to use electronic devices (EPODs/smartphones/instruction screens)
* No more than 6 penalty points on your driving licence
* A minimum of 1 years’ experience driving HGV1 class vehicles with containers
* A good level of English (spoken, written, and understood)
* Strong working knowledge of the UK motorway networkand Working Time Directive (WTD) regulations
