Shift Lead Technician
Location: London – Battersea
Contract Type: Permanent – Continental Shift Pattern
Salary: £48,000 - £50,000 per annum (depending on experience) + Private Healthcare + Flexible Benefits
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Shift Lead Technician to take ownership of service delivery for a key client in Battersea. This is a hands-on leadership role, combining strong technical expertise with effective team management and client engagement. You’ll lead a team of Technicians to deliver outstanding service standards, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational excellence at all times.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and support a team of Technicians, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and performance.
*
Oversee delivery of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance in line with SLAs and KPIs.
*
Conduct performance reviews and support staff development to maintain high technical standards.
*
Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety policies, statutory regulations, and company procedures.
*
Build strong relationships with clients and subcontractors through professional and proactive communication.
*
Assist with fault finding, quoting, and supervision of small works and project activities.
*
Maintain accurate compliance records and ensure all data is uploaded to internal service systems.
*
Support financial reporting, planning, and ongoing service improvement initiatives.
About You:
*
Previous experience in a senior or lead engineering role, ideally as a Multi-Skilled Technician.
*
Strong technical background across industrial, commercial, and domestic systems, with experience in PPMs aligned to SFG20 or equivalent standards.
*
Excellent fault-finding, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
*
Capable of supervising and supporting both reactive repairs and small project works.
*
Experience managing compliance documentation and working with CAFM/service management systems.
*
Recognised technical qualification or completed industry apprenticeship (electrical or mechanical discipline).
*
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
*
A proactive and safety-focused approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.
