Continuous Improvement Engineer Birmingham Permanent Competitive Salary  Our client are a precision manufacturing business, based in Birmingham, specialising in machining and assembly of high value low volume components who are looking for a continuous Improvement Engineer.  The Role is a Continuous Improvement Engineer within a Manufacturing Engineering team, you’ll drive projects to enhance our manufacturing processes. The role covers: Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) activities Product safety and quality Planning, cost, and capacity management Lean improvements and efficiency projects Self-development and supporting talent growth Stakeholder managementKey Responsibilities: Improve manufacturing methods, processes, and capabilities to meet design intent. Promote a culture of zero defects, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations. Identify and deliver manufacturing improvements to reduce costs using lean methodology. Lead and support continuous improvement projects, including 8D investigations. Develop and maintain manufacturing methods to deliver safety, quality, cost, and on-time delivery objectives. Identify and implement new technologies, digital systems, or processes to support future needs. Build strong internal relationships to support delivery of business objectives.Skills & Experience: Degree or time-served apprenticeship in an Engineering discipline. Experience in precision manufacturing environments, including use of Lean tools. Knowledge of manufacturing systems, machining, assembly, testing, and CNC machine tools. Strong problem-solving ability and familiarity with root cause analysis tools. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
