A skilled Contracts Engineer is required to oversee the coordination and execution of technical building services projects. This role involves managing contracts, ensuring resource optimisation, maintaining quality standards, and leading on-site activities through to project close-out. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, organisational, and technical skills, with experience in complex environments such as data centres or commercial fit-outs.

Key Responsibilities
* Oversee contract management and ensure all works align with agreed terms and project goals
* Coordinate internal and subcontracted teams, ensuring competence and compliance
* Monitor budgets and resource allocation, delivering value across all phases of project delivery
* Drive performance and ensure timely completion of milestones and project close-out
Main Duties
* Analyse project specifications and review engineering schematics for accuracy and completeness
* Prepare and manage technical documentation, including method statements and submittals
* Evaluate supplier and subcontractor information for compliance with technical and delivery standards
* Update and manage project programmes in line with evolving project requirements
* Record site activity and project status via site diary entries and progress tracking tools
* Conduct quality checks and oversee on-site works to maintain high delivery standards
* Implement self-audit procedures to support internal compliance and quality control
* Coordinate resolution of snags, faults, or defects post-installation and ensure thorough close-out procedures are followed
Requirements
* NVQ Level 3 or above in a relevant Construction, Engineering, or Building Services discipline
* Recognised technical qualifications (electrical, mechanical, or building services)
* SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely certification
* Project management qualification (desirable)
* Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills
* Background in delivering projects within technical environments such as data centres, M&E, or mission-critical infrastructure
