Specialising in earthworks and site preparation, substructure, drainage, reinforced concrete, external works and surfacing, they’re now looking for an experienced Contract Manager to oversee operations across multiple sites and help drive the business forward. The Role: As Contract Manager, you'll be the glue between the site teams and the commercial/technical side of the business. You’ll oversee multiple groundworks and civils projects, ensuring everything runs smoothly, safely, on time, and on budget. This is a permanent role with an immediate start – ideal for someone ready to hit the ground running. Responsibilities: * Oversee and manage multiple civils and groundworks projects across South Yorkshire * Liaise with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to keep projects moving * Ensure consistent delivery to programme, budget, and quality standards * Lead and support Site Managers to ensure site teams perform to expectations * Monitor progress and resolve any on-site or logistical issues quickly and effectively * Enforce and promote a strong health and safety culture across all sites * Report on project performance to senior management * Assist in project planning, procurement, and resource allocation * Maintain clear and accurate project documentation and communication * Champion quality, safety, and operational excellence on every job What our client is looking for: Our client wants a confident, organised, and commercially aware Contract Manager with strong experience in civils and groundworks – particularly earthworks, drainage, and reinforced concrete. You’ll be used to working with multiple teams, managing high-pressure timelines, and making smart decisions. SMSTS, CSCS and excellent communication skills are essential.
